Indian Mashup

Jet Airways said it may lay off a further 1,100 employees in addition to the 800 it had suspended. There was a large opposition against the layoffs.  The decision was reversed due to opposition from various people including Bal Thackeray.

The general reactions were.
>This is a lose-lose situation.
>Jet employees acted like cry-babies.
>Companies will shy away from setting up shop in India.
>MNS-Maharashtra Navanirman Sena showed its a goonda party .
>Government was under confusion.
>Purely from an ethical viewpoint,also, letting workers go except as a very last resort is immoral under any school of Indian philosophy.
>Who will bear the brunt of losses? Shareholders? Taxpayers?
