Desired Profile:
Experience: 4+ years
Skills/experience required
A minimum of 5 years experience as a programmer, analyst/designer in a financial environment
Mainframe experience COBOL and IMS technical skills
A solid understanding of structured analysis techniques
Good knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel)
Must be able to work under pressure, juggle multiple projects, use own initiative and motivation to meet deadlines and set priorities without close supervision
Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Must be pro-active, enthusiastic, flexible, and results driven.
Excellent spoken and written English, clear oral communication skills. Must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns and opinions directly to wider team in team meetings via teleconference.
Calm under pressure.
Experience in a variety of programming languages desirable (eg C, C++, Java, C#, perl, SQL)
Experience in using source control systems (e.g. Perforce)
Experience in treasury or payments service platforms preferred.
Experience with Agile / eXtreme Programming project methodology and development teams preferred
Experience in working with colleagues in other locations
Duties
Interpretation of Business Requirements into design solutions.
Development of solutions, using Agile methodologies.
Technical Team Leadership of projects. This will involve supporting Development and Testing resources as appropriate, communication with infrastructure counterparts and the business customers themselves.
Estimation for the design and development of the project lifecycle.
Regular status reporting to Technical Delivery Managers and Management.
Creation/Updating of system functional and reference documentation.
Coding, Unit Testing and Component Integration Testing.
Provide support during the testing phase as required
